French Club Hosts Cheese-Tasting Event

The French Club at the Jr./Sr. High School hosted a cheese-tasting event! Students gathered together for an interactive event as they explored a variety of cheeses and their origins immersing themselves in French culture. France is renowned for their integral role in cheese-making and cheese-tasting traditions in the country’s culinary culture.
To explore the cultural tradition in depth, Spartans had an opportunity to learn from an expert cheesemonger from the Say Cheese! restaurant in West Reading. She facilitated the experience and shared the origins of the artisanal cheeses and various samples. This experience was a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with a local business while exploring French culture and tradition through a unique, culinary lens.
