Pre-K Counts | Kindergarten Registration

2021-2022 New Student Registration
(Grades K - 12)

We are excited that your child will be enrolling in the Wyomissing Area School District!   To ease this process, we will be offering online registration utilizing our NEW Student Information System PowerSchool.   Before you begin the online registration process please make sure you have the following on hand and ready as you will have the ability to upload copies into your student's registration file.  Please note your student can be registered online and the following forms submitted at a later date prior to the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

1. Student's Birth Certificate
2. Property Deed (Real Estate Tax Bill) or Lease Agreement
3. Proof of Identification (Driver's License, PA Photo ID, Utility Bill, or Residency Affidavit)
4. Immunization Record

Once your online application has been completed we’ll review the application, verify your required documents, and contact you by phone or email with questions about any outstanding information.

About the Programs

Berks County Head Start and PA Pre-K Counts classrooms are free preschool options for qualifying families. These comprehensive preschool programs are for children ages 3-5 and are designed to prepare students for their time in K-12 classrooms and beyond

PA Pre-K Counts

Children who attend a high-quality pre-kindergarten program have a better chance of doing well in school, going on to college or career training, and getting a good job. By enrolling your child in BCIU Pre-K Counts, you can give your child a great start to a bright future.

Who is eligible for BCIU PA Pre-K Counts?

BCIU PA Pre-K Counts is FREE preschool designed for children who:

·       Are between age three and the age eligible for kindergarten

·       Live in families earning up to 300% of the federal poverty level (For 2021, a family of four earning $79,500 or less)


Berks County Head Start

What is Head Start?

A federally funded, comprehensive child development program that serves preschool children from the ages of three to five years.

Do I qualify for Head Start?

Children from three to age five who are from families with incomes below the poverty guidelines are eligible for Head Start services. In order to qualify, your family must meet the guidelines established annually. Head Start services are provided free of charge. Children from families experiencing homelessness, foster families, and families receiving public assistance such as TANF or SSI are also eligible.
