2020 -2021 ATHLETIC NEWS

November 20, 2020

The Junior High Winter Sports Registration deadline will be extended through Nov. 25th.  Because of this extended deadline, JH Basketball will begin try-outs and practices on Nov. 30th.  JH Wrestling will begin practice today and continue accepting athletes on their roster through Nov. 30th.  SH Practices will remain unchanged.  Please see the new schedule below.

Wyomissing Area will host Boiling Springs in the District III Football Semifinal on October 31, 2020 at 1:00.  No tickets will be sold at the gate.  A limited number of Presale Tickets will be sold to players only.  Fans can follow all of the action from home by clicking on the live stream link below.

Football Game Details: No general public admissions.  Only those with vouchers may enter the stadium regardless of age.  Gates will open at 12:45pm and close at 2:30pm.  Admission is $5 for Adults and $3 for students/senior citizens.  
All attendees are reminded that face covering are required throughout the game.

The Fall athletic season is underway with Tennis, Cross Country, and Golf all starting their seasons in the past week.  The weeks ahead will see our student-athletes' seasons come into focus with Boys' and Girls' Soccer, Field Hockey, Girls' Volleyball, and Football beginning competition.  There has been overwhelming support, flexibility, and hard-work from our athletes, coaches, and parents; the Athletic Department and their teams thank each of you for that support and help.  Fans can follow the action live by clicking below for live streaming information for all BCIAA schools.

August 7, 2020

The PIAA released guidance today postponing all interscholastic sports until August 24, 2020. All fall sports practices scheduled to begin on August 10 or August 17 are postponed to start on August 24. Voluntary sports workouts, already approved as part of the WASD Plan for Athletics and Extra-Curricular Events, may continue over the next two weeks. Our Athletic Department staff are reviewing the information provided by the PIAA and will share additional guidance and information as it becomes available.
