Working Papers
Any person seeking employment prior to their eighteenth birthday or graduation is required under the Child Labor Law to obtain a work permit. The procedure is as follows:
- Applications for a work permit may be obtained between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the JSHS Counseling Office.
- The student must be 14 years old to obtain a work application.
- The student must have his/her parent sign the application indicating their consent for the student to work. The student may then bring the signed application to the Counseling Office along with proof of age (birth certificate, passport, driver’s license).
- The work permit will be issued within 24-48 hours.
